why does this seem to upload photos?!

if i give an app access to my camera and albums i dont expect the app to upload my photos anywhere, unless it explicitly asks me
permission.
im not sure if it was just organizing my photos by obtaining metadata (dates,gps info, etc),
but i dont want my photos uploaded and thats what it seems to do. without explicitly asking or informing me of this process I immediately deleted the app. let the consumer know if your are backing up data or just analyzing the photos on the phone. sheesh!
